A Vellero care plan is a monthly subscription that keeps a website fast, secure, and up to date. It covers the work that quietly breaks a small-business site if nobody is watching: security patches missed, plugin updates that collide, slow-creeping page-speed regressions, a Google Business Profile that stops getting posts. One flat monthly fee, no surprise invoices. The practical upshot for a busy operator: the site keeps showing up in searches, the contact form keeps working, and someone other than you is watching it.
Tiers and pricing
Two tiers: Standard at $500 per month covers weekly updates, uptime monitoring, a monthly performance report, a quarterly schema and SEO audit, and up to an hour of small content changes per month. Priority at $800 per month adds a 48-hour guaranteed response time on breakages, up to three hours of content changes, and monthly (rather than quarterly) audits.
Cancellation and inherited sites
Care plans are month-to-month. Thirty days notice to cancel either side. The site keeps working, the owner just takes on the updates themselves or hands them to someone else. Care plans are available for Vellero-built sites by default, and for sites built elsewhere after a one-time handover audit (typically $400–$600).

- What does a Vellero website cost?
- Most builds run $4,000 to $9,000, with the range depending on page count, industry, and any custom features. Trades typically sit at $4,000 to $8,000; professional services with practitioner profiles and compliance-aware copy sit at $5,000 to $9,000. The price is quoted flat at the start (not hourly) so you know the total before we begin.
- Is there a payment plan?
- 50% to begin, 50% at launch is the standard. For larger builds, three instalments can be arranged on request.
- Do you charge for revisions during the build?
- No. The fixed quote includes two rounds of feedback on design and two on the built site. Additional rounds past that are billed at a flat hourly rate, disclosed up front.
- Do you have a cheaper option for smaller businesses?
- Not currently. Vellero builds at a mid-market price point because the engineering baseline (schema, speed, local SEO) takes the same amount of time on a small site as a big one. A proper custom build starts at $4,000.
- How fast do you respond if something breaks?
- Priority plan: 48-hour guaranteed response time on breakages with a priority inbox. Standard plan: best-effort response within two business days. Most issues never get that far because uptime and security monitoring catches them first.
- Can you maintain a site you did not build?
- Usually. An initial one-off audit ($400-600) covers everything the care plan needs to know about the existing site. After that, the monthly fee applies as normal.
